I wish it could be published in every newspaper, so that older women (and their children) could be more aware how the Affordable Care Act will benefit them directly. Until you've (or your mother or father) had the experience of being rushed out of hospital because Medicare won't pay further, even if there are no services for you at home, you may not realize how important the ACA is. And we so need geriatric practitioners with the bulge of the population now in their 60s. This commentary is right on the mark. I'm turning 44 this summer. I fear for my future as well as the futures of other women. I don't ask for luxury accommodations when I'm old and infirmed, only a safe, clean comfortable place to live where I will be cared for and fed good nutritious food. That's not so much...is it?
