It was mentioned that lack of doctors in rural and small communities being a problem.
I live in Vancouver, not exactly a village, with several hospitals, and yet few are taking new medicare patients. Also while visiting in Prescott, AZ I learned how difficult it was to become a new Medicare patient.

I, personally am very fortunate, with a long term excellent doctor and few health problems, but my heart went out to some patients who were in the waiting room and I watched them be turned down. The lady at the desk said it took a toll on her to have to tell these desperate people, No New Medicare patients being accepted.

I understand we cannot force doctors to take medicare, when private or Ins paying customers are so much easier, less ill for the most part, and are plenty available.

What can be done to level the playing field?
