As long she is pro choice, I’m happy.
But the silence from most pro choice organizations concerning her confirmation is deafening.
I hope the silence is because of being stabbed in the back by the Obama administration’s latest decisions on abortion in health care reform, and has nothing to do with the candidate’s positions on choice.
Her historical positions on abortion (having worked with the Clinton administration)seem to be better than Soutemayer’s but maybe I’m missing something.
I hope not- she looks great to me!

I agree that it is a victory to have Kagan on the supreme court. I was very impressed with her presentation of self over a period a several days in what at times could only be described as a hostile environment. Women should comprise at least half of the court justices. We are not a minority in the community. We are not a minority in the workforce.

This is indeed an historic moment. I am proud of our President for putting her name forward and proud of Elena Kagan for having the professional and personal excellence to acheive this milestone. Let us not forget all that the President has done for this nation in such a short period of time as we vote in the Congressional and gubernatorial elections coming up.

I am delighted that Elena Kagan is one more of the good “gals” in the Supreme Court of Justice of our nation. Her presence adds to the two women to bring for the first time in history a resemblance of equality and inclusion.
